1. Beautiful skin starts from within; so keep yourself warm with hot teas that are rich in antioxidants, and hydrated with fruits and vegetables and of course good old H2O.
2. Every skin type will benefit from adding more moisture to their regimen. Look for products that contain humectants, which will bind moisture to the skin. I love B. Kamins moisturizers, which contain Bio-Maple™ compound technology to help fight wrinkles, protect, and enhance radiance throughout the day.
The World Health Organization’s August 2002 Fact Sheet indicated that the snow reflects about 80% of the sun rays, so remember to protect yourself all through the winter with some SPF as well.

3. To keep your complexion fresh and radiant, exfoliate 1-3 times per week (dependent on your skin type and texture) then add a masque to infuse hydration and pull impurities. Duchess Marden’s Damascena Hydrating Masque intensely hydrates tightens, brightens and purifies. Extracts from the ayurvedic senna plant also improves skin’s own ability to retain water.
4. Since your skin’s natural renewal cycle is every 28 days, it is extremely beneficial to assist the process by getting a professional facial every 4-6 weeks. This is will also save you some hard earned cash. When you have a professional consultation, you can start using products appropriate for your skin type; thus eliminating the urge to try everything new on the market.
*Get the most out of your time and money: sign up for the Facial Of The Month at Blush save $10 off a regular 60 minute facial, sign up for a year & also receive a complimentary a la carte service of your choice with every treatment!
5. Take care of all of your skin to avoid that uncomfortable itch and irritation of cracked skin. Avoid showers that are too hot, as they will dry your skin further. Keep your skin conditioned and smooth by adding a polish 1-2 times a week along with an emollient moisturizer after every shower. If you can, opt to take the time to regenerate and refresh your body and senses with an in-spa body polish, which includes massage and essential hydration.
*Try a Body Polish Infusion: $100 for 65 minutes only at Blush.
6. Don’t forget about your poor lips! Switch to lipsticks or lip balms that pull double duty; such as Laura Mercier’s stick gloss which combines a lip balm, lipstick, and gloss to keep you moisturized. For Men & Women my favorite is Lip Balm Spf 20 by B.Kamins Chemist. It repairs, protects & keeps lips smooth.
